Want to get in on the fun early?

The Couple’s Quest is open for beta testing on TestFlight, Apple's free app for trying apps before they launch. Install TestFlight, tap the button below, and you can start a quest today. Everyone in a quest needs the app, so send the link to your partner and any other couples too.

Needs an iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or later. A beta can have rough edges: if something looks wrong, tell us at contact@thecouples.quest.

How it plays

  1. Pair up and invite

One of you hosts: pick Partner vs Partner (just the two of you) or Couples vs Couples (two to four couples, up to eight players), choose how long the quest runs (a week up to 90 days) and share a six-character invite code.

  2. Race the board

Three public Quest Cards are always up for grabs, and each one is a race. Tap Start, do the challenge wherever you are, and send your proof: a photo, a short video, your word on the honor system, or a measurement your phone takes, such as steps. The first couple whose proof checks out takes the points, and the other couples vote on the photos. If a couple gives up on a card, the prize grows for everyone else.

  3. Play your private hand

You each also hold a hand of up to three private cards that fills itself: small kindnesses, surprises and, if you both opt in, spicier dares. Do one, send the proof to your partner to confirm, and the points go to your side. Not for you today? Veto it, at a small cost.

Most points when the quest ends wins. Ties go to whoever completed more cards, then to whoever earned more Quest Coins.

Ways to play

  • Couples vs Couples

Two to four couples, each couple a team of two. Your partner confirms your private cards, and the other couples judge the public ones.

  • Partner vs Partner

Just the two of you, head to head. Your partner is your opponent, so you confirm each other's private cards.

  • Spice, set together

The host sets how playful the cards get with a level from 0 to 4. The top two levels ask every player to opt in first.

Built for everyday life

  • A quest as long as you like. From one week to 90 days. Every Game Day has its own start and end time, so the game fits around work and sleep.
  • A daily spin. Spin the Daily Wheel once each Game Day for points, Quest Coins, a free power-up or, now and then, a curse.
  • Quest Coins, power-ups and curses. Spend your coins in the shop on power-ups, or on playful curses that slow a rival down.
  • Wish lists only your partner sees. Keep a Shopping list and a Spicy list. Some private cards ask your partner to get or do something from yours. Nobody else can read them, rival couples included.
  • Awards that build up. Earn awards across quests, from Hot Streak to Perfect Week.
  • Invite-only. Quests are joined with a code from the host. No matchmaking, no strangers.
  • Private by design. There is no public feed. Proof photos and videos go to the players who review them, and Quest Memories go only to the players in your quest. When the quest ends you can save its album to your photos, and photos and videos are deleted 7 days later.
  • No ads, no tracking. We don't sell your data or run third-party analytics.
  • Your rules. Hosts can filter out swimming, crowds, alcohol, spending and more, and each player can switch off kinds of private card for themselves.
